Police say a 57-year-old man’s body has been discovered outside Fort Providence.
In a news release on Thursday, RCMP confirmed they were “investigating a sudden death” after first receiving a report at around noon on Wednesday.
The man’s body was found approximately half a kilometre outside the community, police stated in the release.
A post-mortem autopsy has been ordered.

Neither the man’s identity nor any information about how he died has been made public, with RCMP saying no further information is currently available.
