John-David Koyczan’s funeral will take place on Tuesday

The family of John-David Koyczan say his funeral will take place in Yellowknife on Tuesday.

John-David, who was 38, passed away in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, at the end of October.

Local news reports in Cambodia suggested a heart attack had been identified as the cause of death, and gave The Bamboo House, a guesthouse, as the location.

“Funeral services for the late John-David Koyczan, son of Caron Lorenzen and Johnny William Koyczan and brother of Casey Koyczan, will take place at the St Patrick Church in Yellowknife on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 12:00pm,” read a statement issued on behalf of the family on Sunday evening.

“Internment at Yellowknife Cemetery and a celebration of life will take place at the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre following the service,” the statement continued.
