Yellowknife RCMP say a 46-year-old Yellowknife man passed away from his injuries following a snowmobile accident on Saturday, January 12.
The man, who has not been identified, ran into a rock covered in snow and was thrown from his sled.
Another snowmobiler sledding in the area came across the accident, called the RCMP, and provided first aid to the victim.
The accident happened near Reid Lake, northeast of the city.

Police are working with the NWT Coroner’s Service to investigate.
