Yellowknife RCMP have charged Abdullahi Ali, 46, with sexual assault and sexual interference.
On April 24, the police were told that a taxi driver had sexually assaulted a 16-year-old male victim.
The RCMP were able to locate and arrest Ali.
The Yellowknifer has been released and is due to appear in court again on June 4.
