RCMP in Yellowknife say they’re investigating a single vehicle collision on the Ingraham Trail.
In a Monday press release, police said officers were called to the crash on Saturday. When they arrived, the Yellowknife Fire Division was already on scene and were extracting the single occupant of the vehicle.
RCMP said the man, who they did not name, was taken to hospital for treatment. Police said they did not know the extent of his injuries.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation but the RCMP said an initial examination indicates the vehicle rolled after entering the ditch “at speed.”
RCMP said evidence recovered from the scene suggests alcohol may have been a factor. Investigators are working to determine if the driver was impaired.
