Cabin Radio will broadcast live coverage of Yellowknife musician Carmen Braden’s first Longshadow Music Festival, coming to the city in June.

The three-day festival features a broad range of music from the past two centuries, including big-band jazz and contemporary percussion.

Yellowknife’s Andrea Bettger will perform a world premiere composition by NWT fiddler Wesley Hardisty, while the festival will also take attendees on a midnight-sun soundwalk through Old Town.

There are also free workshops exploring composition, improvisation, and contemporary music.
