Police are asking for help as they investigate the suspicious deaths of two adults along the Alaska Highway, 20 kilometres south of the Liard Hot Springs, on Monday.
RCMP were called to an area along Highway 97 at approximately 7:20am, they said in a news release.
Officers reported finding two bodies. Both deaths have been deemed suspicious.
An older, blue minivan with Alberta plates was found at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have travelled this stretch of highway between Sunday at 4pm and Monday at 8 am to contact them.
They would especially like to speak with anyone who may have recorded a dashcam video while driving in the area, as well as anyone who saw the blue minivan or “rendered assistance.”
The area is some 400 km southwest of the BC-NWT border, along the highway connecting Alaska, Yukon, and BC.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Northern Rockies RCMP at 250 774-2700 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222-8477.
