Police in Yellowknife have charged a man over an apparent rampage inside the city’s Fraser Tower apartment building.

When they awoke on Friday, August 30, residents reported a succession of smashed windows stretching from the building’s fitness room to its front entrance.

Damage to vehicles outside the building was also reported. Staff told building residents a man was believed to have carried out the damage with weights taken from the gym.

Without confirming those details, police said on Thursday they had charged 22-year-old Trevor Thrasher in relation to the incident.
