Police seek witnesses over damage at Hay River’s Fields

RCMP in Hay River want anyone who witnessed a downtown store being damaged in the early hours of Thursday to come forward.

In a news release, police said they were “investigating a mischief incident” at Fields on Woodland Drive.

“At approximately 12:20am on Thursday, September 19, Hay River RCMP responded to an attempted break-and-enter,” police said.

“Upon arrival, RCMP members observed that the main front door had been extensively damaged. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.”
