This is a cause Cabin Radio can get behind: from January 22-28, we’re proud to present the first-ever Yellowknife Burger Week. Buy burgers and help the YK Food Bank!

Ten of the city’s eateries have signed up their amazing burger recipes for the inaugural burger week, which has been lovingly organized by Yellowknife burger queen Sonia Idir.

You could even win Canadian North flights by taking part, plus a range of gift cards to restaurants across Yellowknife.

To take part, all you have to do is grab a passport – available at any participating location – and get a stamp for each burger you eat!

Three stamps is all you need to enter the grand prize draw. Drop off your passport at a participating location, or at Cabin Radio, to enter. The draw will take place in early February.

The top prize, donated by sponsors Canadian North, is round-trip flights for two from Yellowknife to any of these destinations: Edmonton, Inuvik, Norman Wells, Hay River, or Fort Simpson.

Every burger purchased generates a cash donation to the YK Food Bank, plus you’ll be supporting 10 Yellowknife restaurants by taking part.

And just think: by ruining your January diet plan then needing to get back on track, you’ll be donating to Yellowknife’s locally owned and operated gyms, which appreciate your support. It’s a win-win-win.
