Air North 40-percent sale closes at end of Saturday

Prospective passengers have until the end of Saturday, February 1, to take advantage of 40 percent off most flights with Yukon-based airline Air North.

The discount applies to economy (“Go Yukon” and “Saver”) rates on all routes during most dates between February 18 and September 1 this year.

On Friday, a search of the airline’s booking system revealed direct flights from Yellowknife to Vancouver for less than $400 return in February.

A week-long trip from Yellowknife to Ottawa in June – once that direct, and now seasonal, service returns – was available for less than $500 return.

The 40-percent discount can only be booked until midnight Pacific time, or 1am on Sunday in the NWT.

Some blackouts apply, most notably a period between March 12 and 31 when the discounts cannot be found.

The discounts are also not available for flights between the following dates:

• April 9-13
• May 14-18
• June 18-22
• July 1-5
• August 13-17
