Cabin Radio’s new morning show features some familiar voices.
Jesse Wheeler and Ollie Williams are reunited from 7am till 9am each weekday, alongside a range of Yellowknife and northern voices.
Get your latest news from across the Northwest Territories alongside great music with real variety, plus a range of interviews, contests and special features.
The show comes from Cabin Radio’s Studio One in Yellowknife, overlooking Franklin Avenue and downtown (so be prepared to hear the occasional siren in the background…).
You’ll also be able to watch the best bits from the show on Facebook or listen again to excerpts in our podcasts through this website.
About Jesse
Jesse Wheeler is well-known to most Yellowknife residents – not only having grown up in the city and as an accomplished actor, but also as the former voice of Moose FM’s morning show alongside Ollie and others.
As one of Cabin Radio’s founding members, Jesse will set the tone for your day with his trademark wit and insight from the host’s chair in Studio One. His knowledge of Yellowknife, the North and what matters to northern residents is unmatched.
About Ollie
Ollie Williams spent five years as an Olympic sports reporter for the BBC, based in London and Manchester, before moving to Fort Liard in 2012. He relocated to Yellowknife in 2014 and has broadcast for Moose FM and CBC prior to becoming a founder of Cabin Radio, where he is the head of programming and news.
Ollie will broadcast from his fifth Olympic Games as a play-by-play announcer for the BBC at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, this coming February.
