A 17-year-old from Yellowknife who was reported missing in Edmonton on New Year’s Eve has now been located safe and sound.
RCMP in the city issued a plea on December 31 for help finding the teenager, who was last seen on December 28 at 8am leaving a hotel in Edmonton’s south end.
She had not been seen or heard from since, RCMP said in a news release at the time.
On Monday, police and the family both confirmed the 17-year-old had been safely located.
The youth’s name and identifying information have been removed from this report as it is no longer a matter of public interest.
