Police have charged a man over an alleged stabbing inside an apartment building on Yellowknife’s Gitzel Street.

RCMP say a man required hospital treatment for serious injuries following an incident on the evening of Wednesday, January 31. The man has not been identified.

RCMP arrested Jerry Rogers, 34, on suspicious of being the attacker. Rogers has now been charged with one count of aggravated assault.

He has been remanded into custody until Monday, February 5, when he is expected to appear in court.
