Coach Aaron Wells paid tribute to his basketball team’s long-serving stalwarts as their campaign for Arctic Winter Games gold ended in disappointment on Friday.
Patrick Yatco’s valiant attempted three-pointer, which would have won the game with three seconds remaining, missed – ensuring Alaska won the game 62-60 and lifted the junior male title.
