Make $1,200 – run the Yellowknife trade show’s parking

The Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce is offering $1,200 to any organization that can solve its trade show parking dilemma.

The spring trade show is one of the city’s busiest events of the year, taking place at the Multiplex on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13.

But the chamber has yet to find an organization willing to take on the task of overseeing parking outside the venue on both days.

“We are looking for six volunteers each day,” the chamber told Cabin Radio by email. The organization will receive $1,200 in return.

Volunteers get a parking map, walkie talkies, vests, and stop/slow signs. They need to be on-site from 9:30am until 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

If your organization can help, contact Jessica Wang at the chamber for more information.
