Late on Wednesday, internet service provider Northwestel said some customers in Yellowknife may be experiencing slower connection speeds than usual.
“Some Northwestel customers in the Yellowknife area are experiencing a service issue affecting their Internet speeds,” the company posted to Twitter at around 11pm.
“Technicians are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
If our hosts sound deeper and more laidback on the live stream Thursday, that will be why.
Lobbing rocks (figuratively) at Northwestel is one of the territory’s most popular sports.
Individual users frequently complain online about issues related to their internet speed, though such complaints are rarely met with a mea culpa from Northwestel itself – and may not always be the fault of the company or its service.
