Ecology North will turn a vacant downtown Yellowknife lot into a pop-up park this summer.
The lot between the Gold Range and Raven establishments, on 51 Street, will become a temporary park at the end of July.
Residents can contribute ideas for the park and receive up to $500 to make those ideas happen in return.
Even though it’s temporary, Mayor Mark Heyck says it’s an important contribution to downtown revitalization.
Cabin Radio intern Alice Twa checked out the launch ceremony, where Ecology North asked the public to start submitting ideas via the project’s website.
