Police investigating body found behind Ndilo home
RCMP in Yellowknife have confirmed they are investigating a death in Ndilo.
Just before 6pm on Tuesday, police were called to a Ndilo home after receiving a report of a body found nearby.
The house was cordoned off for much of the evening.
No details have been confirmed by police, other than the discovery of a body behind the house.
Cathy Menard, the NWT’s chief coroner, told Cabin Radio the body is believed to be that of an adult and has been sent to Edmonton for a postmortem.
No foul play is suspected, Menard said.
The RCMP’s major crimes unit, a forensic team, and the NWT coroner’s office are all investigating.
