Behchokǫ̀ RCMP ask for help finding Jermaine Camsell

Police in Behchokǫ̀ have asked for the public’s help in finding 21-year-old Jermaine Joe Camsell, who was reported missing on Sunday.

Camsell was last seen in Behchokǫ̀ at around 5:30pm on Saturday. RCMP are trying to trace what happened to him since.

“Jermaine is believed to be on foot,” read an RCMP news release issued on Tuesday morning.

“Jermaine is believed to have accessed two kayaks the evening of July 28. Both have been recovered with no signs of Jermaine in the immediate vicinity.

“A search and rescue is underway including air, marine and ground searches. Family members and community volunteers are assisting with the search.”

Camsell is described by police as Indigenous, 5 ft 5 in and 132 lbs, of slim build, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is said to have been wearing black pants, a grey-black windbreaker jacket, and a dark-coloured hat at the time of his disappearance.
