RCMP in Aklavik are investigating a second sudden death in five months.
On Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed a 49-year-old woman had been found dead at around 8pm the night before.
Police provided no details of the incident nor its location, other than confirming the woman had been found dead at a residence in the community.
Her identity was not provided.

An investigation has begun and a post-mortem autopsy has been requested.
In April this year, a separate investigation began following the death of a 40-year-old man in the same community.
