A two-car collision at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and 52 Street briefly disrupted the morning commute for Yellowknifers.

Both vehicles – a cab and an SUV – came to rest partly on the sidewalk next to the RBC bank after the collision, which happened shortly after 8:20am.

Multiple eyewitnesses told Cabin Radio the airbags inside both vehicles deployed during the incident. The taxi was later towed from the scene.
