She is the author of Voice in the Wild, a memoir. Her non-fiction appears in Canadian Geographic, The Globe and Mail, walrus.ca, Up Here and several anthologies, including Dropped Threads 3: Beyond the Small Circle. Her debut album “Middle World” was released in June 2020.\n\nBorn in Brantford, Ontario, she grew up in nearby Guelph where she completed her Masters in English in 2021, under the supervision of Lawrence Hill. She attended Toronto Metropolitan University for journalism before unerring wanderlust took her to Europe, Africa, Western Canada and finally the Subarctic, where she’s lived off-grid for more than 30 years.\n\nTin Can Collective is a new independent multidisciplinary performance collective. We aim to build a creative hub for contemporary theater in Yellowknife and across the NWT that connects to the current landscape of Canadian arts. Tin Can Collective focuses on innovative, collaborative and community focused new work. A collective – emphasizing a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to collaborative work we create. TCC is dedicated to nurturing local stories in our communities through creative means, producing art with intent.\n\n Come out for a night of original stories, poetry, comedy, and more! \n\nWhether you’re a seasoned performer or trying the mic for the first time, this is your chance to share a story, joke, poem, or any other original creation.
