Meet Penny, Cabin Radio’s office dog

Home » Meet Penny, Cabin Radio’s office dog

Penny is Cabin Radio’s youngest, friendliest, and best-looking member of staff. Come say hi to her!

Born on January 4, 2019, Penny comes from a litter of 12 at Fort Smith’s animal shelter.

Part lab, part retriever, with some husky mixed in, she is owned by Cabin Radio co-owner Sarah Pruys.

Penny is friendly, great with kids and other dogs, and really happy to meet visitors who drop in to see us at the Cabin Radio studios on Franklin Avenue.

If you’re coming just to pet Penny, make sure you check in with us (a Facebook message is a good bet) first, to be sure she’s available!

Watch out for Penny at events in Yellowknife and across the Northwest Territories. She’s hoping to meet you soon.

Penny’s favourite things:

  • Unattended garbage
  • Her dinner bowl
  • Robust broadcast journalism
  • Small rocks (for eating)

Penny’s least favourite things:

  • Bed time
  • Being told she cannot eat small rocks
  • Being told she cannot eat garbage
