RCMP in Yellowknife say a man was taken to hospital with multiple injuries following a shooting in Yellowknife early on Tuesday.
In a news release, police said they received a complaint around 3am that a man had been shot inside an apartment building on 51a Avenue. RCMP said they located the man who was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Police said they have not identified or located the suspect in the shooting but believe it was a targeted incident.
They are asking anyone in the area of 51a Avenue, 56 Street, 52 Avenue and Burwash Drive who may have surveillance or door bell camera footage to get in touch.
RCMP are also asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Yellowknife detachment at 867-669-1111 or Crime Stoppers.
