Submissions for this year’s Yellowknife International Film Festival will open on Wednesday.
In a Tuesday news release, Western Arctic Moving Pictures said the 18th annual film festival is looking for a wide range of content from documentaries to scripted films.
“The festival showcases a diverse selection of films from around the globe, offering a platform for established and emerging filmmakers to share their stories and perspectives,” the release states. “Our programming includes a rich tapestry of Indigenous, Canadian, circumpolar, and northern content, reflecting the cultural and geographical diversity of the region.”
The festival will run from November 6 to 10 and feature film screenings, discussions, workshops, panels and awards.
People can make submissions to the 2024 film festival on Western Arctic Moving Pictures’ website.
