Yellowknife Burger Week 2025 raised $6,798 for the YK Food Bank, thanks to residents eating 3,182 burgers over the course of the 11-day event.

This year’s Burger Week ran from November 5-15, with 11 restaurants going all-out on 18 recipes featuring everything from yam and cauliflower paneer to fish, chicken, crab, beef and bison.

A portion of the funds from the sale of each burger was donated to the food bank, surpassing last year’s total of just over $6,000 raised.

Businesses came out in droves to provide more than $13,000 in prizes for the event to help drive up participation. To be entered to win, residents had to collect stamps by purchasing burgers from three or more restaurants on their Burger Week passport.

On Friday morning, the winners of Burger Week’s eight biggest prizes were drawn on Mornings at the Cabin. The full list of prizes and winners is published below.

This year’s festivities were brought to you by Cabin Radio with help from our prize sponsors, print sponsors Signed and Kopykat North, and participating restaurants.

Since its creation in 2020, Yellowknife Burger Week has now raised $41,000 for good causes and 18,154 burgers have been eaten. Thank you to all the people and businesses who have helped organize and sponsor each edition, and thanks to everyone who eats the burgers!

Prize winners

Here are the winners of this year’s prizes. Email our general manager, AJ, to arrange prize collection. You’ll need to bring ID to collect.

Names are as shown on passports. If your handwriting was a struggle, names are as deciphered by the prize committee. We have included the last two digits of entrants’ phone numbers where full names were either indecipherable or not provided.

Note: People could enter more than one passport if they ate enough burgers. One or two lucky ducks were drawn twice. The lesson here is to eat more burgers.
