RCMP say they have arrested and charged a 39-year-old woman for allegedly stealing a tour bus while impaired.

In a Monday press release, police said they received a report around 1:16am on Saturday that a tour bus had been stolen from a gas station after it was left running while unoccupied.

RCMP said they located the bus less than an hour later in a parking lot. Police said officers then contained the bus with police vehicles and alleged the driver backed the bus into a police vehicle before it came to a stop.

The suspect was arrested “without further incident,” RCMP said, and no injuries were reported.

Police alleged the suspect showed signs of impairment by drug. They said she was transported to the hospital and had blood samples taken for further analysis.
