Angela James has retired as the president of Aurora College.

The college announced James’ retirement, effective immediately, on Monday afternoon.

In a press release, Kenny Ruptash, chair of Aurora College’s board of governors, said the board was grateful for James’ service to the college and “her contributions during a period of significant transition for the institution.”

James has been president of Aurora College since August 2024, taking over the role following the retirement of Glenda Vardy Dell.

The college’s board of governors said it will be appointing an interim president while it considers a recruitment process to fill the role longer term.
