The City of Yellowknife has released the draft of a new land administration bylaw designed to replace one last modified in 2010.

The land administration bylaw sets out how the city acquires, sells and leases land.

If you don’t do a whole lot of land administering, the draft bylaw (and the existing one, for the sake of comparison) might feel like an impenetrable read.

The city has produced a slightly-plainer-language guide to the changes it’s seeking in the new version.

You’re asked to send any feedback you have to the city by the end of February 29.

The draft bylaw will ultimately end up in front of council, which has the final say on whether it’s approved or otherwise.
