Police have confirmed an 18-year-old passed away following a reported ATV accident in Colville Lake on Saturday.
The teenager has not been identified, and there are no details regarding the exact circumstances of what took place.
However, RCMP said alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
Police in Fort Good Hope, which has the nearest permanent detachment, were called at around 7:15am on Saturday, RCMP said in a statement on Monday.

The 18-year-old was transported to Colville Lake’s health station but pronounced dead on arrival.
The NWT coroner’s office is now investigating.
RCMP said counselling support was being provided to community members.
