Movie seeks Indigenous hockey players aged 16-25

A movie billed as a “coming-of-age hockey comedy” is looking for Indigenous hockey players aged 16-25 to appear in it.

The working title of the production is Smudge the Blades, directed by Cree actor and filmmaker Cody Lightning.

Acting roles in the film are paid. Travel to Alberta, where the production will take place, will be covered according to an advertisement placed online.

You must be Canadian and able to play hockey, the ad states, but acting experience is not required.
