Police in Tuk ask for help identifying break-and-enter suspect

RCMP in Tuktoyaktuk have published security camera images in an effort to identify someone accused of breaking into the hamlet’s Northern Store.

According to RCMP, the break-in was reported on Saturday, November 23.

“Electronics and cigarettes were stolen from the business, after which the suspect stole a snowmobile and fled the area,” police stated.

“Video surveillance was obtained showing a lone masked suspect.”

RCMP are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect – or who has any other information about what took place – to contact the Tuktoyaktuk detachment at 867-977-1111 or leave a message anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
