The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for eggs sold by Burnbrae Farms due to possible Salmonella contamination.
The recall, which affects six brands, states the eggs have been distributed in BC, Manitoba and Ontario as well as “possibly other provinces and territories.”
The following products are affected by the recall:

A UPC, or Universal Product Code, refers to the scannable barcode.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency recommends that anyone who has the recalled products throw them away or return them to the location where they were purchased. It said anyone who believes they became sick from consuming a recalled product should contact their healthcare provider.
The recall states that food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
Symptoms can include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
Young children, pregnant people, elderly people and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious infections.
The recall was triggered by test results. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the products.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said it is conducting a food safety investigation.
