Northwestel service may drop out overnight in YK, Behchokǫ̀, Whatì

Northwestel says maintenance work may mean its services drop out in some NWT communities between midnight and 4am on Thursday, June 25.

For up to two hours within that window, customers in Yellowknife, Dettah, Behchokǫ̀ and Whatì may lose internet, TV, long-distance calling and cell service, the company said in a news release.

“Please note, this may impact your ability to contact emergency services,” Northwestel added.

Local calls are not expected to be affected.

“We will work in the early hours of the morning to minimize disruptions to homes and businesses,” Northwestel stated. “Thank you for your patience while we complete this important work.”
