Sechile Sedare, the duo formed by NWT siblings Leela Gilday and Jay Gilday, have released their first single.
Hold On is dedicated to Darrel Mack, Leela’s husband and a “miraculous stage-four cancer survivor of four years,” Leela said by email on Sunday.
She said the song is “about digging deep despite terrifying odds.”

Leela said this was one of the first songs she and Jay wrote together.

“Somewhere inside of you there is tenacious love and gratitude for this life that will rise on the tide of hope,” she wrote.
“Maybe today isn’t forever, but it is today.”
