A construction centre in Fort Good Hope has been dubbed the K’asho Got’ine Trades Centre and has begun recruitment.
According to a press release, the new name for the facility was put forward by Darcy Edgi in a naming competition and the new logo was designed by Jaydon Kakfwi.
The facility, which is currently under construction, will be owned and operated by Ne’Rahten Developments Ltd, the business arm of the Yamoga Land Corporation.
It aims to provide Sahtu residents training and employment opportunities as well as construct new homes for the region.

Community members were invited to an open house and tour of the new centre on Tuesday.
Ne’Rahten Developments is hiring for an operations manager, finance manager and floor supervisor for the facility. It said local and regional recruitment is being prioritized and training and mentorship will be provided to the successful candidates as needed.
