The NWT government has reopened Highway 3 to all traffic.
At 10:30am on Monday, the Department of Infrastructure announced that the highway was fully open.
Previously the highway was closed between the junction with Highway 1 and the junction with Tłı̨chǫ Highway 9.
The NWT government urged travellers to exercise cautioun as wildfires continue to impact driving conditions due to poor visibility.

It said drivers should be prepared for delays and potential road closures and advised travellers to check Drive NWT for the most up-to-date information.
The access road to Fort Providence and Highway 9 to Whatì remain closed as the communities are under evacuation orders due to nearby wildfires.
