A snowfall warning has been issued for the south Mackenzie Delta, forecasting a “long-duration snowfall event” over Fort McPherson and Tsiigehtchic.
Environment Canada said on Friday afternoon that temperatures will decrease overnight with heavy, wet snow starting early on Saturday morning.

“Some of the initial snowfall may melt, but accumulation will begin Saturday morning,” the advisory stated.
“Up to 15 cm is possible by Sunday morning before snowfall tapers off.”
