Prosper NWT, the territorial arm’s-length agency charged with helping to connect northern businesses with investment, has appointed seven new board members.
Two existing directors – Brad Mapes of Hay River and Soham Srimani of Nahanni Butte – were reappointed, the agency announced on Wednesday. Board chair Marie-Soleil Lacoursiere also remains in place.
The seven new arrivals are:
- Manny Kudlak, Sachs Harbour
- Mark Lewis, Yellowknife
- Justin MacInnis, Yellowknife
- Mellissa Mercredi, Yellowknife
- Lovingson Mtongwiza, Yellowknife
- Darlene Sibbeston, Fort Simpson
- Vicki Tompkins, Yellowknife
The board provides strategic direction and oversight to Prosper NWT, formerly known as BDIC, which offers loans and other financing options to the territory’s private sector.
“This group brings the regional perspective and governance experience needed to safeguard the organization’s mandate and ensure strong oversight,” Lacoursiere was quoted as saying in a news release.
