Have you ever wanted to pitch your business idea to Dragons’ Den? Now may be your chance.
Producers from the reality TV show, which airs on CBC, are set to hold auditions in Yellowknife for season 21 of the series.
“We know Yellowknife is a bustling hub for startups and thriving small businesses and are looking to showcase entrepreneurs from the Northwest Territories,” a press release states.
On Dragons Den, entrepreneurs pitch their businesses ideas to a panel of “dragons” or venture capitalists in the hopes of securing financial investment from them.
People interested in auditioning can apply online. Auditions will take place on Tuesday, March 3 from 10am to 4pm at the Yellowknife Public Library.
Ahead of auditions, show producers plan to hold a small business workshop in Yellowknife.
The event will include a panel discussion and question and answer period featuring producers and Corey Janvier, owner of Cedar Brush Site Services and Janitorial, who appeared on Season 20 of Dragons’ Den.
The free, public event will take place at the Yellowknife Public Library on Monday, March 2 from 6:30-8:30pm.
