The territorial basketball governing body will be the beneficiary of this year’s super bingo, the City of Yellowknife announced on Tuesday.
Most summers, the city holds a super bingo worth between $50,000 and $100,000. A draw is held to decide which group will benefit from the proceeds of each event.
This year’s draw, held on Monday, saw Basketball NWT selected.
The number of applicants wasn’t given. The city publicized the winner by uploading a video of Mayor Ben Hendriksen conducting the draw.
The 2026 super bingo will be held on Saturday, July 4, the city previously said.
The municipality said updates about the super bingo will now come from Basketball NWT.
