A wildfire close to Edzo that triggered an evacuation notice earlier this week is now less of an immediate risk, NWT Fire said, but some risk remains.

The community of Edzo is now on evacuation notice – the first of three levels of preparation in case an evacuation is needed – as a wildfire burns in the area.
Highway 7 reopened on Monday morning after a wildfire previously brought under control flared up and closed the road a day earlier.
Fort Good Hope's chief says he understands residents' frustration as its evacuation moves into a third week. "We are not giving up," Chief Collin Pierrot said.
The Town of Inuvik warned on Friday afternoon of an "unaccompanied bear cub" wandering an area of the municipal dump.
As Fort Good Hope residents approach two weeks away from their homes, NWT Fire says a dry weekend forecast means more "aggressive fire behaviour" is likely.
