RCMP say a search operation has begun after a 54-year-old man was reported overdue and couldn’t be found at a cabin.
Police say Ralph Beaulieu was due to be picked up from the vicinity of the cabin, south of Behchokǫ̀, but didn’t show up. Officers hiked to the cabin but could not find him.
“The search for Ralph Beaulieu is ongoing with the assistance of Casara and Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue,” RCMP stared, referring to the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association.
Family friends said the cabin is some 40 km west of Yellowknife, in the vicinity of Boundary Creek.
