Yellowknife offering free transit on Saturday

In celebration of the Old Town Ramble and Ride festival, the City of Yellowknife is offering free public transit.

The city announced in a press release that all city bus routes and the Yellowknife Accessible Transit Service will be free of charge on Saturday. Under the regular schedule, there will be no public transit on Sunday.

The city said McDonald Drive will also be closed to traffic during the festival on Saturday from 11am to 5pm and on Sunday from noon until 5pm.

Bus Route C will follow a detour route along Ingraham Drive on Saturday as two bus stops on McDonald Drive will be closed.
