RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a man facing criminal charges related to 2023 incidents in Fort Resolution.
In a Thursday press release, police said Leron John, 25, from Edmonton is facing criminal charges related to incidents that took place in Fort Resolution in October and December 2023.
Those charges include assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime.
RCMP said John failed to appear in court on those charges as required. He is currently subject to an arrest warrant issued in the NWT as well as a Canada-wide warrant issued in Alberta.
Police described John as a Black man who is approximately five feet six inches tall and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

RCMP asked anyone with information about John’s whereabouts to contact the nearest RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
