Downtown Yellowknife’s Shop Hop is returning for 2024 with its biggest list yet of stores.

Twenty locations will open their doors for the event, which runs from 12pm till 8pm on Thursday, November 28.
“We’re trying to go big and get everyone out,” said Erasmus Apparel’s Sarah Erasmus.
“It’s been a favourite of customers the last two years now that we’ve been doing it, and we’re just trying to get everyone out shopping local, hitting all your favourite stores in the downtown core.”

You’ll be able to pick up a passport and collect stamps to be in with a chance of winning prizes, while various stores are expected to offer discounts and deals on the day.
This year, the hours are extended to make Shop Hop a full-day event rather than an evening experience.
“It’s a reminder that we’re here, we’ve got good stuff and we always have new products,” said Erasmus.
“We hear that a lot when people are out during the Shop Hop: ‘Oh, I hadn’t been in here in a while. You guys got a bunch of new stuff!’ This year, Shop Hop has extra time to hit all the local stores. Get your Christmas shopping here.”
