Wednesday night is expected to bring winds gusting to 80 km/h and blowing snow in Sachs Harbour and Paulatuk, forecasters said on Monday.
A winter storm watch issued by Environment Canada said winds from the southwest will strengthen throughout Wednesday.
“The strongest winds are expected Wednesday night, with gusts up to 80 km/h possible,” Environment Canada stated.
“Snow will also begin Wednesday night and blowing snow will reduced visibility significantly overnight into Thursday.
“Conditions are expected to improve by Thursday evening.”
