The Hamlet of Tsiigehtchic says ‘a community lockdown’ on Thursday afternoon has ended.
In a letter shared to Facebook on Thursday afternoon, the hamlet’s senior administrative officer advised residents that the community had “received a threat from an individual.”
She asked residents to “go safely” to their homes while the hamlet handled the situation with police.
In an update shared shortly before 6pm the senior administrative officer said the lockdown was complete. She thanked residents for their cooperation and police for their quick response.
Cabin Radio has approached RCMP for comment.
