Firefighters in Rae responded to a house fire in the early hours of Tuesday.
RCMP said officers on patrol in the community discovered a residence that appeared to be at “total loss” due to a fire shortly before 8am.
“The fire department was notified immediately. Attending officers confirmed no one was inside the residence and remained on scene until the fire department arrived,” police said in an email.
According to RCMP, no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Behchokǫ̀’s community government has been approached for comment.
